Our extensive portfolio of properties includes innovative commercial buildings, hotels, modern residential developments, and versatile business parks.Your New RoleReporting to the Managing Director and closely collaborating with the Director, Construction, the Director, Development will be responsible for proactively developing and executing strategic plans for securing ideal properties for development and zoning. The incumbent will be responsible for initiating and establishing partnerships with City Council, potential tenants, investors, and other parties involved in securing projects. Negotiate and administer real estate transactions, support and analyze sales estimates and financial analysis, and present relevant information to Executive, Council and community groups. You will direct the development of site/building plans, interpret/analyze legal contracts, direct legal counsel, and attain all governing authority approvals up to and including development permits, utility right of ways, servicing agreements, signage permits, zoning amendments and subdivisions. The Director, Development will work in liaison with the leasing department to address the requirements and provide information as necessary to fulfill the tenant’s expectations.What Sets You ApartThe Director, Development will have the ability to drive projects and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities, consultants, and confidential matters with discretion.
