Job Description

Description:Our client is an Engineering firm with a Distribution office located in Kelowna. At this location there is a need for a distribution designer to work predominantly on Over Head distribution lines for a variety of clients but primarily Fortis. The duties will involve over head line design, line maintenance design experience, and some UG design experience. They are looking for someone who is capable of doing site visits working on 25 KV voltage.This client is looking for a technologist for this role, and not an engineer.Skills:autocad, electrical, power distribution, distribution design, kv, utility design, design engineering, pls cadd, fortisAdditional Skillsamp; Qualifications:MUST HAVES:

  • 1+ years industry exp.
  • 1 year distribution experience. (over head preferred or transmission)
  • Willingness to go to site - this role requires frequent visits to verify data
  • Line design
  • Post secondary degree electrical technology
  • AutoCad experience (drafting is not required in this role)
  • Need to be a self starter for this position with a strong sense of motivation
NICE TO HAVES:
  • Underground distribution
  • PLS CADD
  • Underground distribution experience
