Builds expertise in operational management that includes staff, performance, patient flow, and financial management. In collaboration with Clinical and Operations partners, utilizes just-in-time mentoring and feedback to support implementation of new learning into practice and provides leadership in support of best practice models and initiatives that support the effectiveness of Clinical Managers in their role.Honouring Interior Health’s commitment to Truth and Reconciliation and the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (DRIPA), and Pursuant to Section 42 of the BC Human Rights Code, preferential consideration and/or hiring will be given to qualified applicants who self-identify as Aboriginal (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit).QualficationsEducation, Training, and Experience• Bachelors degree in nursing, health sciences, or related field; Masters preferred.• Five (5) to seven (7) years recent, related clinical management experience, including demonstrated experience in successfully developing team members and other Clinical Managers. • Experience in training and coaching is considered an asset.• An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be consideredSkills and Abilities• Demonstrated ability to provide senior advisory services and consultation to management with experience facilitating, and influencing across a large complex system.• Excellent communications skills and the proven ability to mentor, educate, and develop team members. • Demonstrated expertise and experience with applying adult learning principles and best practices related to mentoring and educational programming in clinical settings. • Demonstrated ability to guide individuals and groups while maintaining psychological safety, motivation, commitment, and effectiveness.• Demonstrated ability to effectively introduce and manage change that is consistent with the vision, purpose, and operating principles of healthcare.• Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, implement, manage, and evaluate programs.• Empathetic with the ability to meaningfully share personal/professional experience to help clarify role expectations and processes.• Ability to define own continuing education needs and maintain competency through reading literature, management workshops, seminars, and available educational offerings.• Ability and willingness to travel.
