Job Description

Our client, Sync Robotics is a growth-orientated company located in Kelowna, BC, leading the change in innovative industrial automation solutions. Sync Robotics serve clients across Western Canada and beyond, from concept to reality, specializing in designing and implementing custom automation solutions for manufacturing companies. From heightened efficiencies, improved productivity, increased product quality to improved safety, they strive to exceed our customer’s specific goals.Sync Robotics is expanding their talented team of individuals and is currently seeking an Office/Warehouse Assistant who would enjoy a hybrid role responsible for administrative tasks and hands-on warehouse responsibilities.As the successful candidate, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to the smooth operation of the company, by demonstrating a keen eye for detail, accuracy and a proactive approach to working with a team supporting front of house administration and warehouse functions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow with our company, showcase your skills, and expand your knowledge by taking on additional responsibilities.Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support with general clerical duties, including filing paperwork, answering phones, handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, checking mail, and maintaining office supplies;
  • Support procurement by managing and placing orders with vendors, maintaining inventory levels, setting up new vendors, following up on overdue POs, finding alternatives to items unavailable, and negotiating better pricing;
  • Prepare and process orders, including picking, packing and shipping;
  • Assist in scheduling incoming and outgoing shipments, including order processing, inventory management and coordinating with the carriers ensuring on-time delivery;
  • Receive incoming shipments, check contents against purchase orders and packing slips, reporting any issues;
  • Manage returns and communicate with customers regarding order status and delivery issues;
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using our inventory management software, Total ETO;
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, including organizing stock, conducting monthly cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies; labelling and storing items in the proper location;
  • Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks;
  • Perform additional duties and provide support to various departments as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certificate is a plus;
  • Previous experience in warehouse/logistics and administration is preferred;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
  • Proficiency in inventory management software Total ETO is an asset;
  • Strong administrative skills, including a high level of accuracy in data entry and reporting;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills with a collaborative work style;
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and in a team-based environment;
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality and integrity;
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking abilities and time management skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work;
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn;
  • Ability to lift heavy objects of 50lbs or less;
  • Forklift certification preferred but not required; training will be provided.
