Eldorado Resort is currently looking for a full-time, Public Area Attendant to join our team. Our beautiful lakeside property offers a wide range of exciting career opportunities. We also offer employee discounts on water sport rentals, fun social events, incredible colleagues, and finally, discounted hotel stays and foodamp; beverage at all Argus owned restaurants and hotels!Position SummaryThe Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining and ensuring exceptional cleanliness of all public areas at Eldorado Resort. Hours5:00am - 1:30pmWhat will you be doing You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standard:

  • Maintaining the overall cleanliness and appearance of the public areas of the hotel to enhance the guest experience (clean hallways, lobbies, lounges, washrooms, elevators, stairways, meeting rooms, laundry room, pool areas, offices, and other workspaces)
  • Restock and maintain lobby washrooms and amenity rooms daily
  • Respond to guest/housekeeping requests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Vacuum rugs, furniture, and/or draperies using vacuum cleaners and/or steamers
  • Empty wastebaskets, empty and transport other trash and recyclables to disposal areas
  • Dust and polish furniture in main areas
  • Polish silver accessories and metalwork such as fixtures and fittings
  • Wash windows, walls, ceiling, and woodwork as necessary
  • Maintain parking lots (sweep, rake leaves, remove the garbage, empty ashtray)
  • Remove any garbage, recyclables, and empty beverage containers from the laundry room
  • Identify and report preventative and other maintenance issues in public areas
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation
  • Carry out lost and found procedures
  • Assist other departments wherever necessary
  • Other duties as required

  • Sufficient time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and handle repetitive movements, such as pulling, pushing, lifting, and bending up to 8 hours a day
  • Previous experience in housekeeping is an asset
  • Available to work weekdays and weekends, including holidays
