Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented, organized bookkeeper with a heart for making a difference Our client is recruiting for a passionate and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their inspiring non-profit organization.   • Maintains a full set of books, including bank reconciliations;
  • Manages accounts payable and receivable;
  • Administers of client and government billings and receivables;
  • Receives and reviews employee timesheets and ensure accurate entry into payroll system;
  • Prepares timely bi-weekly payroll;
  • Conducts month end and year-end adjustments, reconciliations and finalize working papers;
  • Prepares management reports for month end and grant administration;
  • Manages the flow of all finances through the company, including donations, rents, and monthly invoices for clients eligible for funding;
  • Communicates and manages funding programs from different government agencies;
  • Creates reports and assists with grant applications, donations, tracking fund usage;
  • Supports leadership team with budget creationamp; periodic review;
  • Communicates professionally and positively with clients and other stakeholders;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of Bookkeeping experience;
  • Related business or accounting certification/education is an asset;
  • Previous experience with accounting software, Sage 50 is an asset;
  • Strong computer literacy, including excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices;
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping;
  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills, with the ability to multitask;
  • Ability to organizeamp; prioritize tasks and meet deadlines;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a collaborative work style;
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment;
  • The ability to handle data with confidentiality and integrity;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively.
