We are looking for a Food Services Worker to join our enthusiastic team. Reporting to the Food Service Supervisor, the Food Services Worker is responsible for managing and handling all the operations of the food service department and ensures to satisfy the nutritional needs of our beloved residents and will be responsible to handle inventory, meal plans and kitchen operations of the location.Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsuring food is handled in a safe manner, including proper storage and labelling.Assisting cooks in basic food preparation.Executing proper food service in relation to internal and external guidelines and protocols.Serving meals according to Resident diet orders.Washing, cleaning, and maintaining the kitchen and dining room.QualificationsSuccessful completion or enrollment in a Food Service Worker Program meeting the requirements of the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act.One or more years of Kitchen operations experience preferably in long-term care setting is considered as an asset.Passion for providing quality care to residents in a long-term care setting.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to stand for long periods of time and the ability do moderate to heavy lifting.Demonstrated ability to be a team player.Nice to have excellent organizational and time management skills.Nice to have strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.Interested applicants should send their resume here.
