Job DescriptionShop Packers & Shop Sanders– FULLTIME, Kemptville, ONDFC Woodworks Inc. is a leading manufacturer of high-end outdoor furniture. We export most of our products to the USA and Europe. Our internet-based sales approach has led to enormous growth, due in part to the COVID-19 pandemic.Check out our website at www.TheBestAdirondackChair.comWe have immediate openings for shop apprentices.Responsibilities:

  • Moves through the production process as volume requires.
  • Activities could include initial material cutting, sanding, staining, final assembly, and product packing.
  • As the employee gains experience there are opportunities to specialize in specific shop functions and achieve higher income levels.
We operate a comfortable manufacturing plant with an excellent safety record. We have also modified our plant to ensure safe social distancing requirements are maintained.Requirements:
  • Strong ability to quickly understand manufacturing processes with minimal training.
  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to operate as part of a team.
  • Fine motor skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Physical capability to work in a manual labor environment – with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • The ability to work with hand power equipment is an asset.
Description of Duties:
  • Other activities could include cutting materials, staining, assembly, packing, and inventory stocking.
Required Education:
  • While post-secondary education is considered an asset it is not essential.
Wage:
  • $17/hour to $19/hour.
