This is accomplished across four geographic management zones which are responsible for the operation of acute care health centres and the provision of a variety of inpatient, outpatient services including academic, tertiary, quaternary care and community based programs and services including continuing care, primary health care, public health, and mental health and addictions.ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Assistant Manager – Accounts Payable, the Accounts Payable File Clerk is responsible for carrying out assigned functional office administration and maintaining the integrity of information within the accounting subsystem in Accounts Payable. The Accounts Payable File Clerk responds to and serves as a first point of contact for customers and vendors.The Accounts Payable File Clerk ensures that the principles and practices that guide the Nova Scotia Health Authority such as the vision, mission, values, strategic directions, ethics, safety, quality, partnerships and interprofessional collaboration are integrated within the support that is provided by the work that they do and through the messages they deliver.Qualifications

  • Grade 12 and either graduate of a one year Office Administration or Accounting program with an emphasis in Office
Administration or Accounting OR minimum one (1) year recent and related experience in Office Administration or a computerized Accounting environment (both preferred)
  • Computer literate and proficient in using MS Office (Word, Outlook and Excel) and willingness to learn new programs
  • Ability to use general office equipment (faxing, scanning, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently, with continual interruptions, while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to
detail in a fast paced large organization
  • Knowledge of Office Administration or Accounting
