FAMILY HOME ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT(Job description)DESIGNATION: Permanent full-timePAY PERIOD: Bi-weeklySALARY: To be negotiatedGENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: The Family Home Administrative Assistant contributes to the day-to-day operations of the Family Home Child Care Agency (FHCCA) and works in unison with the Kings County Family Resource Centre (KCFRC).REVIEW: AnnuallyOBJECTIVES OF POSITION: 1. To provide administrative support to the FHCCA2. To provide reception services, resources, and information as needed3. To work cooperatively and efficiently with others to set goals, resolve problems, and to make decisions that affect the FHCCA in a positive, effective mannerREPORTING RESPONSIBILITY: The FHCCA Administrative Assistant reports directly to the FHCC Consultants, who report to the KCFRC Executive Director.QUALIFICATIONS: 1. An applicable degree/diploma or training in Office Administration from a recognized training institute or college2. At least 2 years experience in a related field3. Child Abuse Registry Check4. Criminal Record Check5. First Aid Certification6. Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Office, Excel, Teams7. Strong oral and written communication skills8. Excellent time-management, organizational and administrative skills9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively10. Be kind, cooperative and compassionate.OUTLINE OF RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provide administrative support to the FHCCA2. Perform secretarial duties as required by the FHCCA3. Use computer applications and office equipment effectively and efficiently4. Maintain office files5. Be responsible for correspondence, reports and documents6. Perform reception duties by greeting and assisting visitors, by directing calls and responding to inquiries7. Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the workplace8. Be familiar with, and follow the guidelines as identified in the KCFRC Policy and Procedure Manual9. Assist in special events10. Be included on the staff cleaning schedule11. All other duties as assignedJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $17.00-$20.00 per hourBenefits:
