Company Description$35-$45 per hourWebster Street Hearing Boutique is a local, female owned and operated, hearing boutique in Kentville, NS. We provide full audiology assessment services which include diagnosing and treating hearing disorders. We offer hearing tests and screenings, hearing aid evaluations, tinnitus treatment, earwax management, assistive listening devices (ALD’s), and custom hearing protection. Our patients value the tailored hearing healthcare and calm soothing boutique atmosphere compared to the traditional hearing business model.We opened our doors in December 2019, and after a great year since our post-pandemic re-launch in June 2020, we are excited to be growing, and expanding our team. We are looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable and driven hearing health care professional that strives in providing the utmost personal care for clients as we expand locally and into new locations. As an audiologist working in a privately owned and operated boutique, you will have the satisfaction of maintaining close client relationships: from the initial consultation to the full enjoyment of maintaining patients’ experience of better hearing health.The successful candidate will be involved in learning all of the aspects of the boutique’s day to day business activities including audiological assessment, tailoring treatment plans and devices, counselling patients, managing online booking, managing telephone and online queries, handling payments, interfacing with third party payers/ insurance, helping patients navigate the various compensation systems such as veterans affairs and workers compensation, fostering and maintaining community relationships and promoting hearing health to our patients and our community in the unique Webster Street Hearing Boutique model of holistic care.If you are a passionate and a caring hearing health professional seeking work in a calm, relaxed, environment coupled with the excitement of a burgeoning business, this just maybe the position for you! Join us as we reach out to spread better hearing health care all across the beautiful Annapolis Valley.Job requirementsLanguages: EnglishEducation: Master’s Degree in Audiology (MSc)Credentials: Provincial or territorial licensure, SAC Certification (optional) as well as NSCASLP member or eligibleExperience: Minimum 2 years clinical experience in audiology (diagnostic/fitting)Employment perquisites: Vulnerable sector check, education/college verification, transportation, valid driver’s license, willing to relocate.Skills required: Diagnostic audiology services, experience in fitting /verification proficient use of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook), attention to detail, effective interpersonal skills, team player, reliability, adaptability, interpersonal awareness, effective oral and written communication, values and ethics.Audiological Skills Required: Audiometric examination and testing, providing diagnosis and degree of hearing impairment as well as treatment plan, hearing aid evaluations and fittings, tinnitus and hearing protection counselling.Administration duties: skilled in telephone communication, versed in handling payment, comfortable in booking appointments, checking patients through reception. Some knowledge of the program “Blueprint” would be a valuable asset.Work remotely
