The Counter Salesperson is responsible for selling Eddy Group Ltd products and services. He or she will provide high level customer service to clients and potential customers, initiation of prospect calls and the establishment of ongoing rapport with existing customers. Integrity, vision, professionalism and passion are key components of this position. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.Duties· Selling Eddy Group Limited products· Ensure follow-up by passing leads to Sales/Branch Manager with calls-to-action, dates, complete profile information, sources, and so on.· Where necessary, support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events.· Make outbound follow-up calls to existing customers via telephone and e-mail cross-sell and up-sell.· Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales.· Overcome objections of prospective customers.· Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, and prepare customer sales orders.· Investigate and troubleshoot customer service issues.· Attend periodic sales training where applicable.· Assist with shipping and receiving,· Ensure products are placed in proper locations in a timely manner,· Always keep merchandising and counter areas clean and professional· Respond to customer service calls in a courteous and professional manner.· Address client inquiries regarding status of orders, payment, refunds, etc.· Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements· Must have Grade 12 or GED equivalent (having a trade background would be an asset).· Strong knowledge of wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.· Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.· Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.· Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.· Excellent listening skills.· Strong written communication skills.· Self motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.· Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures.· Ability to work individually and as part of a team.· High level of integrity and work ethic.Core Competencies· Customer Focus· Communication· Energy and Stress· Mediating and Negotiating· Problem Solving· Adaptability / Flexibility· Result Focus· Creative and Innovative Thinking· Ethics and Integrity· Accountability and Dependability· TeamworkWorking Conditions· Lifting or moving up to 50 lbs may be required.· Work is performed in a combination of environments.· This position may be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odours, fumes and oils.· Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.Eddy Group Limited is committed to a diverse environment.
