The successful candidate will collaborate with the Division of Dermatology in Central Zone and have access to subspecialty consultation and care. An opportunity may exist for teaching and mentoring of medical students and residents as well.VRH opened its doors to patients in 1992. The hospital serves the people of Kings and Annapolis Counties, and provides specialty services as a referral centre for the Annapolis Valley and other areas of Western Nova Scotia. Located in Kentville, VRH is a 137 inpatient bed facility that provides inpatient, outpatient, and satellite care to approximately 80,000 residents.Services:

Responsibilities
  • full scope of practice as a dermatologist providing care to the patients within Western Zone
  • provide designated satellite clinics within the Western Zone
  • responsible to the Zone Internal Medicine Department Head for their professional responsibilities and quality of practice
  • operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health
Expected Hours
  • full time, permanent
Qualifications
  • all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
  • all specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
  • membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
