Reporting to the Manager, Operations, the Facilities Technician will understand building maintenance at a high level, but not be afraid to get their hands dirty. This role is suited to a collaborative team-player who will be responsible for maintaining the Robinsons facilities, grounds, building systems, and equipment.The successful incumbent will take a hands-on, detail-oriented approach to ensure all routine and preventative maintenance standards are being adhered to, use corrective actions in a proactive and efficient manner and ensure records are up to date and organized.What can you expect to do:Perform regular inspections of the physical appearance and integrity of buildings, grounds, equipment, and internal systems and address any concerns promptly.Perform repairs and grounds maintenance, addressing challenges through a practical approach with a willingness to find solutions.Perform regular preventative maintenance of a wide range of operational equipment.Manage the preventive maintenance program including determining immediate and long-range needs for maintenance and repair work.Determine when subcontractor services are required, and monitoring completion and quality of on-site work.Participate in continuous improvement projects to increase reliability of equipment and maintenance programs.Follow-up and report standard of work completed; inspect building maintenance and construction work for adherence to plans, specifications and work orders.Organize and maintain soft and hard copy records, warranties, and manuals.Maintain a reliable inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.Other related tasks as assigned, and as operationally required.What we are looking for :Post-secondary education related to facility operation and maintenance;Previous experience working with commercial building systems and facilities.Previous hands-on experience and understanding of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, control systems, boilers etc.) and experience in related repairs.Current knowledge of provincial, federal, OH&S and other safety codes and regulations.Ability to read and interpret plans, sketches and detailed drawings.Experience with Microsoft products including Outlook, Word and Excel.Strong communications skills with the ability to fluently speak, read, and write in the English language.Willingness and ability to work extended hours, if required. :Robinsons Cannabis Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from all qualified individuals.
