• Recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant Program or equivalent (as determined by employer)
• Candidates must be eligible or have successfully completed the Medical Laboratory Assistant examination of the Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS)
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Basic understanding of medical terminology
• Attention to detail
• Manual dexterity to handle sharp instruments and small objects
• Ability to perform procedures with a high degree of accuracy
• Basic computer skills, LIS (Cerner Millennium) experience is preferred

*Hours of Work*

• Casual, short and long assignments and permanent positions are available
• Shifts may include days, nights, weekends and holidays
• Travel to various sites may be required
