Pathologist Assistants are allied health professionals and are able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, histology and basic pathology.Pathologist Assistants increase the efficiency of the surgical and autopsy pathology service to allow the pathologists more time to concentrate on microscopic diagnoses. The Pathology Assistant may be required to perform the autopsy prosection itself; procuring appropriate tissues and organs, dissecting tissues and submitting the required tissue for pathological diagnosis.Qualifications
