In the USA, products are distributed through our parent company Harlan Bakeries Inc. of Indiana.Our top selling pies contain apples that are sourced predominately from Annapolis Valley and also from Ontario. Apples are peeled, cored and sliced on site as needed for production. Our crust is made with the finest Canadian wheat flour. Nothing could be fresher! Blueberry pies boast wild Nova Scotia berries. All fillings are made from scratch utilizing only grade A fruit.Our plant is SQF certified. Safety and quality are forefront at Apple Valley.Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Transport raw materials, finished products and packaging materials,· Feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers,· Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers,· Feed and unload processing machines,· Check products and packaging for basic quality defects,· Assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties,· Clean machines and immediate work areas,· Accurately complete documentation for all processes,· Operates in accordance with all food safety, safety, and fire prevention regulations and practices,· Perform quality and food safety checks of finished goods and equipment,· Execute the daily production schedule,· General production line duties,· Perform other duties are required.Work conditions and Physical Capabilities: · Repetitive tasks· Handling heavy loads· Physically demanding· Attention to details· Standing for long/extended periodsRequired Skills or Qualifications: · Be able to work in a fast-paced work environment· Be able to work in a team environment· Working with hands, tools or machines· Hand-eye co-ordination· Manual dexterity· Reliable means of transportation to work· Helpful· Flexibility· Committed· Food safetyWork remotely
