This is accomplished across four geographic management zones which are responsible for the operation of acute care health centres and the provision of a variety of inpatient, outpatient services including academic, tertiary, quaternary care and community-based programs and services including continuing care, primary health care, public health, and mental health and addictions.ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Manager of Occupational Health, the Rehabilitation Consultant actively manages employees absent from the workplace due to illness or injury. This includes ensuring appropriate documentation to qualify for and maintain illness/injury benefits, helping employees to access available supports, assessing work environments and positions for individuals with limitations, and working with internal and external contacts to facilitate a safe and timely return to work. The Rehabilitation Consultant remains proactive to ensure the District meets legislative requirements in the interest of a safe and healthy work environment.Qualifications
