Kentville, NSReference # AM - 14624Meridia Recruitment Solutions has partnered with Parsons Green Developments (PGD), a passionate developer focused in multi-unit high end residential developments, to recruit a Resident Services Manager to live and work in their Miner's Landing Apartments overlooking the outstanding natural beauty of Kentville, NS.Miner's Landing is a blend of tastefully designed, open concept suites flooded with natural light and large balconies that overlook the beautiful wilderness trails of Eaves Hollow and the Cornwallis River Valley. Situated close to Kentville's commercial centre as well as bird sanctuaries and extensive walking trails, Miner's Landing also offers an Amenity Building, gym and ground floor common areas.Reporting to the Property Manager, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with the residents, ensuring they are provided a safe, healthy, comfortable living environment. Being visible and making yourself available to tenant requests, you'll manage on-site daily activities including marketing, administration, inventory, physical maintenance of the building(s) and surrounding property, and daily management and training of support staff. This could be a great opportunity if you have demonstrated you can work independently, are well organized, and have a track record of creating a positive experience for people.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring all property management policies, procedures, and operations are executed appropriately;
  • Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of the property, including availability of suite types and layouts, common areas and amenities of the building and value-added services provided;
  • Oversee apartment showings, rental inquiries and marketing of vacant apartments as necessary;
  • Arrange, carry out and document move in and move out inspections;
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion and entry of all leasing documentation, including application forms, Tenancy Agreements, renewal agreements and other supporting documentation, ensuring that head office is provided with relevant tenant/tenancy related documentation in timely manner;
  • Issue and deliver notices by an approved method of service;
  • Train, supervise, and coach building staff at property, ensure quality and efficiency of work;
  • Maintain cleanliness of all common areas of the complex and property including routine daily, weekly and periodic cleaning tasks;
  • General maintenance and repairs of the building (snow removal, salting of walkways and entrances, replace light bulbs, etc).
Your qualifications:
  • Previous experience in an administrative, Property Management or similarly related role within customer service or hospitality industries;
  • Superior ability to develop and sustain cooperating working relationships with staff, contractors, the public and especially residents;
  • Knowledge of the Nova Scotia Residential Tenancy Act is an asset;
  • Demonstrated high level of professionalism and the ability to diplomatically solve problems;
  • Proven ability to work independently, delivering exceptional results;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with an ability to collaborate with others effectively;
  • Demonstrated ability to remain organized and manage time effectively in a fast paced, changing environment;
  • Experience cleaning and performing minor maintenance and repairs is an asset.
