Community Living Alternatives Society (CLAS) is a non-profit, community based organization located in Kings County, Nova Scotia is seeking qualified candidates for casual and part time Residential Support Staff. CLAS provides residential services for persons living with intellectual disabilities and is committed to person centered supports, advocacy and social inclusion.Job descriptionSupporting adults with Intellectual Disabilities in Small Options and Group Homes, Residential Support Staff are responsible for activities of daily living, personal care, recreational activities, cooking, cleaning, etc.Shifts include days, evenings, weekends and awake overnights.Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma and Certified Standard First Aid/CPR C (full two day course). Additional Assets: Community College Diploma in Disability Supports and Services or equivalent, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, relevant work experience. Must be willing to complete additional training (provided by Employer).
