Visit us today and check out www.novascotia.com to see why more people from across the globe are moving here.ResponsibilitiesThe Staffing Clerk reports to the Manager, Inpatient Psychiatry and Withdrawal Management & Wellness - Mental Health & Addictions and is responsible for ensuring adequate staffing is available for Inpatient Psychiatry units and Withdrawal Management & Wellness programs across the Western Zone. The Staffing Clerk supports the units/departments by scheduling staff, replacing/planning absences, preparing information for submission to payroll, maintaining electronic records, and other duties that facilitate day-to-day operations.The duties of the Staffing Clerk will be carried out in accordance with the principles and practices that guide Nova Scotia Health Authority.Qualifications

  • Graduate of a recognized office administration program is required
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an administrative position
  • Previous experience in scheduling/staffing
  • Previous experience applying collective agreements
  • Ability to use Microsoft Windows and all components of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to develop and maintain documents, spreadsheets and databases
  • Demonstrated accountability
  • Demonstrated judgment and decision making skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service
  • Demonstrated communication and conflict resolution skills
