Job Description

Our client, a popular food supplier in Nova Scotia is seeking a permanent Supply Chain Coordinator to work in their Kentville location. The successful candidate will be able to handle multiple projects at once and have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining inventory to meet production requirements
  • Purchasing of process transactions
  • Identifying, recommending, and implementing ways to improve inventory holdings
  • Participating in departmental and interdepartmental meetings as required
  • Identifying obsolete and excess inventory
  • Generating reports through Excel
  • Organizing freight for purchasing transactions
  • Managing period end processing
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting or related field
  • Purchasing experience in a professional environment is required
  • Previous experience with Syspro/MRP systems would be an asset
  • Above average time management and organization required
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office programs
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
