The candidate should possess practical chemistry expertise and will carry out her/his responsibilities while using state-of-the-art analytical chemistry equipment. With the support of the Director of Analytical Services and other members of the Analytical Services Team, the Laboratory Technician will prepare samples for analysis, execute analytical and testing protocols for various product formats, perform data analysis and report findings. The candidate will have a good work ethic and be able to execute assigned projects and tasks. They will also be able to successfully work in a team environment, interact with external clients and vendors in a courteous manner, and perform their duties in a highly regulated industry utilizing the appropriate departmental SOPs and guidelines.What can you expect to do:

  • Become a key member of the Analytical Services team at Dosecann.
  • Working in a state-of-the-art analytical chemistry laboratory you will perform analytical testing experiments in support of product development and client needs.
  • Perform routine testing pertaining to raw materials, in process materials, finished products and stability samples.
  • Collect, analyze and report data in the form or research summaries and reports.
  • Work according to the Dosecann QMS system to ensure compliance with external and internal regulatory guidelines (e.g. SOP’s, GMP, HSE).
  • Track, maintain and update cannabis inventory including waste disposal.
  • Perform housekeeping tasks to support the daily functioning in the lab.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
What we are looking for :
  • Undergraduate degree in the Sciences, Biotechnology degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Aptitude to run standardized methods such as ASTM tests and follow established protocols.
  • A positive attitude, initiative, and attention to detail.
What will set you apart:
  • Work experience with general lab tests including, but not limited to high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC, UPLC and/or Prep HPLC), sample preparation, as well as wet chemistry tests (pH, water content, viscosity, melting point, texture analysis, titrations etc.)
  • Experience running ASTM or Pharmacopeial analytical methods.
  • Practical experience working with internal and external clients in a courteous and effective manner.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (GMP/GLP) and following established Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Knowledge of the Cannabis act and the regulations that govern cannabis processing and testing.
