Job Description

The Municipality of Kincardine requires the services of Customer Service Clerks to work at our recreational facilities.Reporting to the Recreation Supervisor, the Customer Service Clerk will be responsible for:

  • Responding to in-person or telephone customer inquiries, providing program or operations information, registering participants for programs, completing facility bookings, and resolving problems
  • Assisting with administrative duties such as record keeping, report writing and cash deposits
  • Completing COVID-19 screenings of members of the public
  • Providing tours of the facility and answering questions as necessary
  • Completing other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
  • Minimum of Grade 12 diploma. Post-secondary diploma in a related field would be an asset
  • Working knowledge of recreational programming is considered an asset
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR C certificate is required
  • Strong computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision
  • Previous experience handling cash
  • Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems effectively and adapt to changing priorities
This is a contract position until December 31, 2021. The hours of work for this position will vary based on business requirements but it will be required to work days, evenings, and weekends.
