  • Hourly: $55.50 CAD/hour (equivalent to $40.13 USD/hour)
  • Overtime: Billed at 1.5x base rate after 44 hours

  • Statutory Holiday Pay: Premium rate of 1.5x plus one regular workday for worked holidays

Schedule:
  • Project Hours: 50-60 per week, with overtime after 44 hours (billed at 1.5x the base rate)
Project Scope:We are seeking two experienced Safety Owner #39;s Representatives for a Google project in Toronto, Canada. This role involves overseeing the General Contractor and all subcontractors, ensuring safety standards are met and maintained. You will be responsible for reporting, safety audits, and managing communication between all parties involved.Qualifications:
  • Bilingual (Frenchamp; English) preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years of safety experience in construction or related industries.
  • Must be tech-savvy and capable of generating detailed reports regularly.
  • Ability to work 10-12 hour days, Monday through Friday, with weekends as needed.
  • Must have relevant safety certifications.
Principal Dutiesamp; Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for Accident Documentation and Investigation
  • Oversee General Contractor (GC) and subcontractors to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Act as the owner #39;s representative to ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Prepare and submit regular safety reports and documentation.
  • Conduct on-site inspections, audits, and evaluations.
  • Enforce the use of PPE and safety equipment as required.
  • Will conduct site specific training and toolbox talks
  • Inspect job site and equipment for safety hazards
  • Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations.
  • Provide safety training as needed.
  • Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety practices.
  • Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence.
  • Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required within the manager #39;s skills and certifications
Skills:
  • Excellent public speaking and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • OSHA outreach training experience is a plus.
  • Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
