With its management philosophy, half a century of experience in recycling, and continuous efforts in research and development as driving forces, Cascades continues to deliver the innovative products that customers have come to rely on.Your challenge!Reporting to the Vice-President Operations, and in collaboration with the General Sales Manager and the Planning and Distribution Manager, the General’s mission is to develop the companys manufacturing strategy and ensure that Cascades manufacturing execution and processes are applied in accordance with established operational rules and practices. You also collaborate with departments and centers of expertise to ensure the establishment and maintenance of a continuous improvement’s culture in health and safety and customer-focused quality management practices. Finally, you demonstrate strong operational leadership in all your business units activities in order to mobilize and realize your team members’ full potential and optimize their adherence to the strategic plan. As a result, you maximize the achievement of business objectives by positively influencing assets’ profitability, costs, quality and delivery times.Individual responsibilitiesAccountableEnsure optimal execution of operations by achieving targets in terms of occupational health and safety, production capacity, standardization of operating costs and qualityDevelop the production strategy to optimize production capacityManage the CAPEX envelop for optimizing and maintaining equipment and return on investmentEngage and develop all your employeesResponsibleCollaborate in the development of a production strategy with the Vice-President OperationsSupport plant management in applying the production strategy to operations, in collaboration with the General Sales Manager and the Planning and Distribution ManagerAct as resource person in the application of Cascades processes in accordance with established business rules and good practicesAct as resource person for the application of production execution processesSupport plant managers in setting performance standards (availability, efficiency, OEE)Serve as a strategic adviser to build, lead and supervise an operational teamHelp your team members develop their potentialActively participate in the creation and implementation of optimization and investment projectsContribute to the implementation of your business unit’s strategic plan in collaboration with the Regional Administrative Director and the Human Resources ManagerExperiences and strengthsStrong business management experience with a turnover of at least $100 millionProven financial management skills and a strong ability to analyze financial performance, budgets and economic indicatorsLeadership and a collaborative spirit that inspire and engage teams to achieve excellenceHigh level of integrity and business acumen that allows your strategic unit to position itself as a leader in the fieldStrong communication skills, tact and diplomacyRecognized talent in strategic management and business development, as well as in innovative planningInspiring and results-oriented leadershipAbility to surround yourself with the best talentKnowledge and experience to anticipate the future within the company’s overall contextExcellent ability to build and support a customer-focused culture based on a people-centred approachAgility needed to work with various technological toolsProficiency in French and EnglishKnowledge of SAP software or other ERP (an asset)Core competencies defined for this jobValues and ethicsCommunication of business objectivesRigourCoachingCreation of successful teamsPerspectiveBas de pageThe General Manager of the Cascades Sonoco Sector may be based in Kingsey Falls or in St-Bruno.#revealyourpotential #LifeAtCascadesCascades believes in the success of an inclusive organization that values diversity within its team.
