Actuarial AnalystLocation:Hybrid - KingstonEmpire life is looking to hire an Actuarial Analyst to join our Corporate Actuarial team!Why pursue this opportunity

What you’ll be working on
  • Perform mathematical calculations and data reconciliations
  • Streamline current processes and create/update supporting documentation
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders to support the delivery of actuarial programs
  • Research actuarial issues, methods and solutions to support business strategy development
What we’re looking for you to have
  • Advanced mathematical, data management, and programming skills
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets (eg. excel, google sheets), databases and word processing software
  • Well-developed organizational skills with ability to manage competing priorities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail/accuracy
  • Proven research, analysis and decision-making skills
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions
  • Completion of a university degree with courses in mathematics, economics and/or business
  • Completion of a minimum of one exam through the Society of Actuaries or Canadian Institute of Actuaries
  • Commitment to attain Associate designation through the Society of Actuaries and/or Canadian Institute of Actuaries
