Position: Laser Welding Applications-Lab Manager Location: Kingston ON Type of Employment: Fulltime-Permanent Client: Manufacturing- fiber lasers Responsibilities:Be the central point of expertise for Laser Welding Applications at our Canadian office. Develop and re-create welding process parameters to acquire high-quality weld measurement data from Canada’s proprietary LDD monitoring technology. Work with other Applications Lab Managers to communicate and share best practices on application development and welding processes. Create and distribute quarterly reports on Application and present to management on a quarterly basis. Provide oversight, supervision, maintenance, trouble-shooting and management of all associated lab laser welding components and activities. Procure necessary equipment and materials and make recommendations to upgrade and replace equipment as needed. Work with commercial and R amp;D teams to schedule and prioritize applications activities. Create SOP’s, documentation and associated policies and procedures governing applications lab work. Create Applications reports for distribution to clients and internal/external stakeholders.
