Job Description

MatrixHR is currently recruiting multiple experienced Industrial Painters for a client of ours located in Halifax NS to perform end-to-end painting and spray-painting on ships. We are hiring both day and night shifts.Shifts: Monday to Friday (8 hours per day).Pay: $28/hr (plus a $3/hr night shift premium).Duties:

  • Prepare surfaces for painting such as scraping, sanding, and caulking.
  • Apply paint or other finishes to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
  • Read and interpret instructions to determine the materials needed for a project.
  • Selecting and using the appropriate industrial marine coatings.
Experience:
  • Proven experience in industrial painting.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and equipment related to painting.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
  • Knowledge of a variety of painting related equipment to ensure longevity and protection of the completed product/vessel.
Preferred Skills:
  • Time management abilities to meet project deadlines efficiently.
  • Ability to work on a team to achieve project goals.
