Job Description

Division: HealthCalian is proud to continue a long-standing contractual relationship with the Department of National Defence (DND) to provide healthcare services to the Canadian Armed Forces. Through the Health Care Provider Contract, Calian employs health care professionals across Canada who are integral to supporting the health and wellbeing of our military members.Position OverviewCanadian Armed Forces military members receive comprehensive medical care from outpatient clinics on the Canadian Forces Bases across Canada. Pharmacy services are integral to the interdisciplinary teams on site. A full-time pharmacist is needed to work at the pharmacy at Canadian Forces Base in Kingston. The pharmacy operates Monday-Friday, daytime hours.Responsibilities

  • In this role you will be responsible for dispensing medication and educating patients on their medications.
  • Liaising with Physicians and reviewing medication inventory will be part of your regular duties.
  • You will have the opportunity to directly impact the health and wellbeing of our Canadian Armed Forces while working autonomously in the pharmacy.
Qualifications
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists with proof of education and completion of national board examination
  • Current CPR Certification
  • 3 years experience in the past 5 years providing direct patient care as a clinical or community pharmacist.
Additonal Requirements
  • You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
