  • Ensure all HR – Labour regulations & practices are in compliance with the applicable employment legislations.
  • Review and resolve labour relations inquiries and issues.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, programs, and initiatives to support the strategic growth of the business.
  • Manage union inquires & partake in collective agreement negotiations.
  • Prepares/revises job descriptions, ensuring consistency of content/qualifications, and participates in job evaluations as required.
  • Conduct termination and exit interview processes and gather insightful employee feedback to identify any company gaps.
  • Provides operational support and advice on group benefits, pension, and the annual performance review cycle and process.
  • Work with the HR Business Partner and other key stakeholders to build and maintain a company-wide compensation and equity strategy.
  • Support with full-cycle recruitment & staffing needs as required.
  • Manage & maintain the company HRIS system, transactions, and updates.
  • Act as backup to other HR team members during vacations.
  • Ensure that inclusion and diversity is promoted and underpins all HR service delivery.
  • Champion and accelerate an excellent company culture with new programs and engagement initiatives.
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline or automate processes to continuously improve service delivery.
  • As duties & tasks as assigned and required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role and capacity.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Labour Relations, Human Resources, or other related discipline.
  • Bilingual English & French – written & Spoken. French is a must.
  • Sound knowledge of federal and provincial employment legislations.
  • Experience in a unionized environment (asset).
  • Solid understanding of HR best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • CHRP Designation (asset).
