Youth Protection - A.M. – KuujjuaqSTATUS : Temporary full time (1 year) (35h/week)IMMEDIATE SUPERIOR : Director of Youth ProtectionSTARTING DATE : As soon as possibleFUNCTIONS:A person who, under the authority of the Director of Youth Protection, makes regular clinical supervision of the youth protection staff. Holds meetings of clinical supervision: individual supervision every two weeks and group supervision as needed. With clinical staff, will ensure the development and revision of intervention plans, review reports and file closure reports. Orients clinical staff in identifying customer needs and the choice of appropriate intervention strategies to problematic situations. Supports the clinical staff through training in intervention strategies with clients. Participates in the identification of training needs of staff in collaboration with the manager in place. Ensures that his employees maintain the monitored activities and reports to date, and that, for each of their cases. Overhauls situations under the responsibility of his staff and provides guidance and adjustments required. Will provide clinical services to clients and their families in need. Will participate in the development of the program, clinical tools and continuous training. Will have to take on administrative tasks. Will also have to travel to support the teams in the communities. Will be required to provide on-call service (Social care).QualificationsMust withhold Bachelor Degree in Human Sciences such as : Social Work or Psycho-EducationBeing a membre of l’Ordre des travailleurs sociaux et des thérapeutes conjugaux et familiaux du Québec OR ‘Ordre des psychoéducateurs et psychoéducatrices du Québec’ is an asset.Has theoretical and practical knowledge of the Youth Protection Act including adoption, of the concept of protection, of the Youth Criminal Justice Act and of the Health Services and Social Services ActHave at least 5 years’ experience working with youth and their families in a well-defined clinical intervention will be considered an assetHave at least 3 years’ experience working in a framework based on the community will be considered as an assetHave experience in supervisionAbility to communicate correctly in English, French and ideally in InuktitutAbility to adapt to a different culture and environmentCapacity of working in a context of emergency, instability, and pressureCapacity of working in a team; discreet, autonomous, empathetic, diplomatic, responsible, with good listening skills, plus initiative, rigorousness and good judgmentRespect for clientele and respect for the authorityHold a driver’s licenceConditions and benefitsSALARY : Min.: 947.80$ / week Max.: 1,679.30$ /weekNORTHERN PREMIUM : 203.66$ /week or as per the family statusHIGH COST OF LIVING PREMIUM : 61.16$ /week or as per the family statusCSN RETENTION PREMIUM : 114.99$/weekAny employee recruited in Québec more than 50 kilometers from the locality in which she/he is called upon to perform her/his duties, will be granted annual trips and a lodging unit that may be a transit or shared apartment if necessary.Quick Apply
