(Local Hiring - Reserved position for Inuit or James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement beneficiary)Temporary full time position based in Kuujjuaraapik, Inukjuak, Puvirnituq, Salluit or Kuujjuaq (38.75 hours/week)SUPERIOR: Rehabilitation Head of ProgramsSTARTING DATE: As soon as possibleFUNCTIONS:Participate directly to the education and rehabilitation of the users in institutional Centre in accordance with intervention programs established in collaboration with the existing professional team, with the view of the rehabilitation or reinsertion of the users in the society. Implements educational techniques by using daily living activities and by organising, co-ordinating and leading scheduled in the program of the service, in order to ensure the users learning and acquiring suitable attitudes and behaviour. Observes and analyses the users’ behaviour, participates in the evaluation of their needs and abilities and keeps progress notes and produces appropriate reports. The person may have to apply physical restrain. Within the implementation of the new program, the person will conduct traditional activities with the clients under his care on Nunavik territory.QualificationsClass 1: To possess a CÉGEP diploma with a core concentration in specialised educational techniques or institutional rehabilitation or a technique in delinquency intervention from a school recognised by the Ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport.Class 2: hold a bachelor degree in psychoeducation, psychology, criminology, social work degree or another relevant diploma of 14 years of scolarity recognized by the ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport or to have completed fifty per cent (50%) of the specialised educational techniques or institutional rehabilitation or a technique in delinquency intervention.Demonstrated knowledge and experience of traditional hunting, trapping and fishing practices in the Nunavik territoryBilingual (Inuktitut/English) spoken and writtenBe sensitive, understanding and emotionally mature and display a positive attitudeAvailable to work day, evening and week-end shiftsWilling to participate to any training considered as being necessary, and offered from the employer or a training institution for a more efficient discharge of his/her dutiesShare knowledge and abilities, work in collaborationAvailable to travelValid drivers license for vehicle and pleasure boatPossession and acquisition firearms licenceConditions and benefitsSALARY:Class 2: Min$928.83 Max : $1382.21 for 38.75 hrsClass 1: Min: $960.22 Max : $1382.21 for 38.75 hrsNORTHERN PREMIUM: Min. $ 203.66 Max. $ 240.25 / week, according to communityHIGH COST OF LIV.
