The Kativik Regional Government (KRG) is a supra-municipal organization withjurisdiction over the territory of Québec located north of the 55th parallel. The KRG iscurrently seeking to recruit an energetic and motivated candidate to work in Kuujjuaq, inthe capacity of:RECREATION TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND DEVELOPMENT ADVISOR(PERMANENT, FULL-TIME POSITION)Under the supervision of the Recreation Department Director, the chosen candidate willbe responsible for: Assist Local Recreation Coordinators in development and implement of new andexisting recreation programs; Assess equipment and infrastructure requirements for recreation in the villagewith the local recreation coordinator; Assist in the development of local Recreation Strategies in collaboration with theLocal Recreation Coordinator; Act as a liaison between Recreation Department and the Local RecreationCoordinators; Help in the development and implementation of training and recreationprograms in the villages; Assist in local, regional, provincial, national, and internationals events asrequired; Work with Northern Villages Recreation Departments, Youth HouseCoordinators, Recreation and Youth Committees and Schools to synchronizeand publicize local recreation activities; Assist Northern Villages in obtaining necessary funding for recreation programs; Work within the Arctic Winter Games structure:o Developing training plans for youth involved in the various programs;o Following up on the progression of their skills with the athletes;o Assist in monitoring youth behaviors at school and in the community;o Coordinate training programs for coaches, volunteers, and officials;o Participate in preparation of the athletes and team prior to and duringthe games. Perform other related duties, as required, by the Supervisor.REQUIREMENTS Post-Secondary education in the field of recreation or related discipline, relevantexperience will also be considered; Written and oral working knowledge of at least two (2) of the following languages:Inuktitut, English and French; Clean criminal record is mandatory for this position; Be able to work independently with minimal supervision; Be reliable, autonomous and have good moral character; Available to travels in and outside of Nunavik.Place of work: NunavikSalary: Minimum : $46 069 - maximum: $78 350 (Class 8).Benefits*: Cost of living differential: Minimum of $8,500/year;Food allowance: Minimum of $1,752/year;Annual leave trips: Maximum of 3/person, per year;Simplified Pension Plan: 6% employer, 4% employee;Group Insurance;Vacation: 20 days/year;Statutory Holidays: 19 days including 10 during Christmas holidays.Please send your resume before 5:00 pm on August 23, 2022:Kativik Regional GovernmentHuman Resources AdvisorP.O.
