  • Communicating information about County programs and services on social media and County website.
  • Preparing content for external publications, ensuring clear and consistent messaging.
  • Assisting the Manager of Marketing, Communications, and Engagement with managing the Countys reputation and public image.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Want to be a part of our County teamTo be successful in this position, you will come to us with:
  • A two-year diploma or certificate in Public Relations, Journalism or a related field from a recognized post-secondary institution (an undergraduate degree in Arts with a major or minor in English would be an asset).
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in communications, public relations, or journalism. Experience in government settings would be preferred.
  • Knowledge of Federal and Provincial legislation regarding access and appropriate release of public information is an asset.
  • Must be proficient in use of computers and related computer applications and various information technologies, especially Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator).
  • Must possess exemplary communication skills through all mediums, the skills of political acuity and diplomacy, and superior customer service.

  • Full-time permanent position based on 35hrs/wk (Monday to Friday)
  • Salary range is: $67,995.20 - $88,051.60 annually
  • Compensation also includes: 3 weeks vacation, a comprehensive Health & Dental benefits package (100% employer paid), and participation in our LAPP Pension plan.
