HERE WE GROW AGAIN!Join Our Team in Dartmouth as a Site Supervisor in Commercial Construction at FIRST ONSITE!As a Site Supervisor, you #39;ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring every project runs smoothly from start to finish. You #39;ll juggle resources, equipment, and information like a pro, making sure our construction projects are seamless and top-notch. Reporting to the Operations Manager, your mission is to optimize subcontractor efficiency and complete projects to First Onsite #39;s stellar standards. Ready to make a difference Join us and let #39;s build something amazing together!A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SITE SUPERVISORAs the new Site Supervisor, you review, schedule, and oversee the commercial projects, maintaining high standards throughout each project and put our clients FIRST. You ensure all demolition meets First Onsite #39;s quality standards, produce comprehensive materials lists for repairs, and provide revisions to the scope of work before it begins if necessary. The Site Supervisor offers immediate direction and assistance to onsite crews, ensuring timely project completion and keeping all parties informed of progress and any changes to the original work order.You ensure that company health and safety policies and procedures are strictly followed by all teammates and subcontractors. You maintain detailed project schedules for multiple sites, monitor staff efficiency and effectiveness, review and authorize timesheets, and inspect progress and work quality during and after repairs, reporting outcomes to the Operations Manager.Qualificationsamp; Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in a construction supervisor or carpentry foreman role, managing up to 20 team members, ideally within the restoration or emergency services industry.
  • In-depth understanding of reconstruction practices for properties damaged by water, wind, mold, fire, or vandalism.
  • Familiarity with Canadian building codes and related electrical, plumbing, or mechanical codes, as well as laws and ordinances regulating building construction.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of Xactimate.
  • Understanding of invoicing, billing, time and materials.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team with a demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Ability to perform physical labor, handle materials, lift heavy objects, climb ladders, wear a respirator, and work in tight spaces such as attics, basements, and crawlspaces.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving and site management.
