AWC Water Solutions Ltd. specializes in providing integrated water, wastewater treatment plants and many other specialized industrial packaged solutions. We offer clients advanced in-house engineeringamp; design with 3D modeling, piloting, fabrication and machining, in-house control panel shop, and a full range of field services, allowing us to provide turn-key solutions.AWC Water Solutions is looking to appoint an experienced Purchasing Agent. The successful applicant will have a solid background in executing effective procurement strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. A Bachelor #39;s degree in a related field and strong skills in negotiation and organization are desirable.Overview:The Purchasing Agent is responsible for executing procurement activities, ensuring effective purchasing decisions, and maintaining strong supplier relationships.Duties and Responsibilities:· Execute and manage purchase orders for goods and services.· Negotiate terms and pricing with suppliers, seeking advantageous agreements.· Ensure timely delivery of goods and services by tracking orders, managing expediting, and communicating with suppliers.· Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and related data.· Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth procurement processes.· Conduct Supplier Performance Management meetings with suppliers.· Address and resolve supplier-related issues and discrepancies.· Contribute to purchasing strategy development and implementation.· Stay informed about market trends and new products or services.RequirementsBachelor #39;s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field preferred.· 2-3 years of experience in a purchasing role.· Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.· Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management systems.· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.· Experience using QuickBooks and Power BI would be considered an asset.· Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask.BenefitsIndustry Leading Compensation Packages: AWC has developed a competitive compensation package for each position that rewards employees for hard work and results.
