Follows up on clothing, from product development to delivery, and ensures the product meets all standards.Critical Functions

  • Works with the Buying Team and Design Team to source new products, help to build the line with consideration of cost and quality.
  • Negotiates prices and finalizes the buy with the goal of achieving the best margin.
  • Sends out the Tech-Packs to ensure production is with executable delivery and quality.
  • Follows up on bulk fabric and trims until approval and ensures to meet delivery timelines.
  • Maintains workflow update with relevant information in a timely manner.
  • Addresses efficiently and effectively all production issues from cradle to bulk and guides all contributors so that all products meet company standards in terms of quality.
  • Manages issues by suggesting different alternatives to obtain win-win results.
  • Ensures that all contributors respect lead-time calendar to deliver timely.
  • Negotiates air shipments with supplier or any appropriate transit to ensure delivery and minimize impact on cost of goods.
  • Responsible to meet different contributors to resolve problems related to standards set by Laura Canada in relation to prices, delivery and quality.
  • Adheres to all new and existing Company policies and procedures (i.e. Loss Prevention, Health & Safety and Human Resources).
Qualifications
  • 10 years experience in a similar position.
  • Import experience (textiles and garments).
  • Knowledge of measurements and specifications for garments.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Bilingualism.
