Job DescriptionHow will you support the team:Acts as a mediator between internal and external contributors to ensure time frames, quality and price are respected for import production. Follows up on clothing, from product development to delivery, and ensures the product meets all standards.
  • Collaborate with the Buying Team and Design Team to source new products.
  • Negotiates prices and finalizes the buy with the goal of achieving the best margin.
  • Reviews the Tech-Packs completely to ensure production is with executable delivery and quality.
  • Follows up on bulk fabric and trims until approval and ensures to meet delivery timelines.
  • Manages issues by suggesting different alternatives to obtain win-win results.
  • Ensures that all contributors respect lead-time calendar to deliver timely.
  • Negotiates air shipments with supplier or any appropriate transit to ensure delivery and minimize impact on cost of goods.
  • Executes certain assistance tasks to help the whole team, including sending notifying emails to vendors, guiding the Import Clerks’ daily work, sending trims and fabric comments when they are needed for the team, following up photo shoot sample requests with all vendors, etc.
QualificationsHow will you support the team:
  • 5 years experience in a similar position
  • Import experience (textiles and garments)
  • Knowledge of measurements and specifications for garments
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Attention to details
  • Bilingualism (English and French) speaking and written.
