Job Description

Post Date: November 13, 2022Closing Date: Open until filledLocation:Do you have a passion for working hands-on with all kinds of vehicles and an interest in technology Prairie Mobile Communications is looking for experienced 12-volt equipment technicians who can move into an installation position with minimal training. We sell and install communications equipment such as two-way radios, mobile cellular boosters, vehicle modems, consoles and docking stations, and many other types of vehicle equipment. The successful candidates will be able to utilize their skills, knowledge, and experience to install, repair, and maintain specialized equipment in a variety of vehicles. These are full-time permanent positions for our locations in Grande Prairie, Red Deer, and Calgary, AB; Russell and Brandon, MB; and Vaughn, ON. The right individuals will excel at working as part of a team or independently as needed, and take great pride in quality workmanship.Qualifications:

  • Be mechanically inclined and able to work with and maintain hand tools and small power tools.
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role is an asset (will train the right candidates).
  • Mobile Electronics Certified Professional designation is an asset.
  • Good communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to install software.
  • Must possess a valid Class 5/Class G Driver’s License for travel to customer sites and moving vehicles.
  • Must be able to obtain security clearance if required by customers.
  • Must be physically fit with the ability to bend, stretch, stand for prolonged periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
