Job DescriptionAs a Manager of IT Operations, you will be responsible for the support and management of networks of 60+ servers and 400+ end-user. Your main task will be to provide direction, leadership, support and guidance in day-to-day operations of IT services including management of IT infrastructure, network, help desk and technical support functions. You will manage a small team of three IT technicians.Responsibilities:
  • Manage network components: Windows Servers, Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365 server backups, licensing network infrastructures and devices (VPN, firewalls and switches)
  • Install and maintain various network equipment, including Wi-Fi, switches and routers
  • Enforce network security policies and procedures
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network infrastructure and services
  • Maintain documentation regarding network hardware and software
  • Assist in evaluating new requirements, technical design and standards
  • Provide high-quality support to our end-users and take ownership of incidents and requests until resolution
  • Support Level 1 teams with advanced technical issues and providing guidance and coaching;
  • Availability to occasionally work evenings and weekends for emergencies, with compensation.
  • Participate to the definition of standards, guidelines, best practices and metrics as directed
Qualifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Server in a virtualized environment would be beneficial
  • In-depth experience with firewall configuration
  • Friendly enthusiastic self-starter and strong team player
  • Strong knowledge with routers, VPN appliances and LAN/WAN/VLAN/SD-WAN connectivity
  • Strong analytical, organizational and time-management skills
  • Aptitude to recognize and maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong experience with Cyber Security
  • DEC/BAC in IT or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with networking technologies
  • Good knowledge of firewall concepts and functionality, switch configurations and networking methodologies
  • Strong management and people development skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable communicating with staff and colleagues at all levels
  • Windows implementation and support experience
  • Experience configuring security applications (anti-virus/malware, firewalls etc.)
  • Knowledge of IT Networking
  • Operational service support leadership experience
  • Bilingual, written and spoken (French and English)
