Requisition ID: 158472Opportunity Type: PermanentEstimated Annual Salary: 250,000 - 300,000Type of Remuneration: OtherSite Visitamp; Reallocation Allowance Programs:For information and to determine eligibility for Department of Health and Wellness Incentives, please contact Physician.Resources@novascotia.ca About This Opportunity The Eastern Passage Family Practice is seeking a full-time family physician to join this collaborative practice, moving to a newly renovated, larger location at Quigley #39;s Landing on Shore Road in Eastern Passage in December 2023. The clinic is a community-based practice providing access to primary care as well as allied health professional services in mental health. This is an NSH turnkey site fully supported by administrative staff, offering competitive overhead fees and is on EMR MedAccess. The remuneration for this full-time opportunity can be discussed further based on interest. The practice will also be affiliated with the Pleasant Street Medical Group in Dartmouth.Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
  • Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners’
  • Act as a patient’s advocate
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
  • Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements
