Position SummaryAre you an energetic and motivated professional We #39;re seeking a Physician Assistant to join our dynamic and collegial team. As a Physician Assistant at ESHC, you #39;ll work alongside emergency medicine physicians to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Diagnosis and Treatment: You #39;ll collect and interpret patient information to establish diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Diverse Patient Population: You #39;ll work with a diverse patient population as part of our inter-professional team.

Essential Job Functions
  • Assess and Manage Patients: Focus on patients requiring procedures before discharge, assist with comprehensive discharge instructions, and expedite initial assessments during high flow times.
  • Tech-Savvy: Be a competent user of our EMR and Dragon dictation software.
  • Patient-Centric: Support ED Physicians in delivering patient care and the discharge planning process.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality and workflow improvement in the ED.
Qualifications
  • Fresh Graduate: You should be a 2023 graduate of the McMaster or University of Toronto Consortium Physician Assistant Program.
  • BCLS Certified: Current BCLS Certification is required.
  • Communication Pro: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Clinical Experience: Clinical placements in in-patient medicine or Emergency Medicine are a valuable asset.
  • Team Player: Ability to function both independently and as an active member of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment: Involved in continuing education and demonstrate commitment to quality improvement.
  • Reliable: A good attendance work record is necessary.
