Job Description

Company DescriptionCanadian Helicopters is a diversified company providing helicopter charter, maintenance support and flight training services. Canadian Helicopters has been operating rotary wing aircraft since 1947 and is the largest helicopter operator in Canada with 25 locations across the country and a fleet of close to 100 single and twin-engine aircraft.Canadian Helicopters has authorization for day/night, VFR/IFR, and NVG operations. The company provides transportation services to a variety of industries including emergency medical services, hydro, oil and gas, mining, environmental, recreational, police, and military, and has a diverse project portfolio with operations in a variety of challenging and austere environments including Arctic/Antarctic, mountainous and desert environments.We are currently looking to fill the position of Maintenance Program Coordinator (Technical Service AME). This position is based in our head office located in Les Cèdres, Québec, near Vaudreuil-Dorion.Job DescriptionThe Maintenance Program Coordinator (Technical Services AME) is reporting to the Technical Services Supervisor and must ensure that the Company aircraft maintenance programs are compliant with the applicable regulations.Duties are:

  • Review airworthiness directives, service bulletins and maintenance manual revisions issued by the regulatory authorities;
  • Ensure maintenance requirements are up-to-date in the Company’s computerized maintenance tracking system;
  • Validate, create and maintain aircraft part files in the Company’s computerized system;
  • Create and maintain Company’s aircraft inspection programs based on manufacturer, company, and regulatory authorities’ requirements;
  • Write, issue and oversee proper application of company memos and technical documents;
  • Provide technical support to Technical Services staff and to other Company departments to properly interpret and apply maintenance requirements to the company’s fleet;
  • Other duties as described in MCPM 3.6.13 or as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Have two (2) years of experience in aviation maintenance, two (2) years of experience in an equivalent position is an asset;
  • Must hold the authorization to work in Canada, this position is not available for sponsorship;
  • Demonstrated strong ability to use various software applications, such as Windows, Airsoft, MS Office suite, etc.;
  • Demonstrated autonomy and initiative;
  • Ability to read, understand and write technical documentation;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, ability to manage priorities;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, bilingualism (French and English) is an asset;
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following aircraft types: AS350 Series, AS355 Series, EC120B, BH206 Series, BH407, BH212, BH412, S76 Series or S61 is an asset;
  • Hold or have held a valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) License with rotary wing experience (or Canadian military equivalent) for at least three (3) years is an asset.
