Company DescriptionCanadian Helicopters is a diversified company offering helicopter charter, maintenance support and flight training services. Canadian Helicopters has operated rotary wing aircraft since 1947 and is Canadas largest helicopter operator with 25 locations across the country and a fleet of nearly 100 single and multi-engine aircraft.We currently have a job opportunity for a Technical Support Technician, in Les Cèdres, Qc., in the Vaudreuil-Dorion area.Job DescriptionReporting to the Manager of Information Technology the Support Technician is responsible for resolving complex support requests with computer hardware, software, and network systems, as well as meeting customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery demands. Provides research and support for new technologies to be used within our environment.The Support Technician must work with each client to find the appropriate solution to their technical issue. A successful candidate can perform their daily duties best with the following skills and qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills
Qualifications
  • Must hold the authorization to work in Canada, this position is not available for sponsorship
  • Ability of speaking French is required
  • 1-3 years experience working in a support environment with all levels of staff and management
  • Experience with Account Maintenance and a working knowledge of Active Directory and DNS.
  • Understanding of WANs, LANS, Wireless Technology, VPN and VLANS
  • Experience with computer setup, maintenance, troubleshooting and software installation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues to servers, printers and systems.
  • Assets helpful to this position include knowledge of MS O365, MS Azure Services, Barracuda Services, Laserfiche, Ubiquiti Wireless components, Cisco-Meraki Firewalls, Sophos End-Point Protection, TeamViewer, IBM i-Series AS400
Additional InformationThe focus of the successful candidate will be to support operations at the head office Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. The candidate will also work as part of a larger team with shared responsibilities for supporting bases across Canada. There is potential for some travel as well as some options to work from home.Remuneration:
