Company DescriptionCanadian Helicopters is a helicopter transportation service, maintenance support and flight training company. In business since 1947, Canadian Helicopters is Canadas largest helicopter operator with over 20 locations across the country and a fleet of nearly 100 single and multi-engine aircrafts.We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Component and Engine Shop Technician at our head office located in Les Cèdres, near Vaudreuil-Dorion.Job DescriptionThe Component and Engine Shop Technician reports directly to the Component and Engine shop manager. He or she is responsible for the inspection, repair and overhaul of aeronautical components for which he or she is assigned during the shop visit. The technician will also ensure that their tasks are performed within strict conformity and the latest standards of airworthiness established by the manufacturer, the Canadian Aviation Regulations and those of the company.Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance activities such as; inspection, repairs and overhaul of aeronautical products;
  • Work as a team towards a common objective;
  • Maintain his or her personal qualifications up to date (via SMS box on CSW);
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures outlined in the MCM, MCP and SPM;
  • Utilize company programs, software and work files pertinent to the task at hand.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in either mechanical assembly or in aircraft maintenance technology (completed or in the process of completion) and/or 1 to 2 years of experience in a component or turbine engine MRO facility;
  • Bilingualism (English and French, spoken and written);
  • Basic knowledge of the MS Office suite;
  • Ability to work with a team;
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems and possess organizational skills.
