Join us.Location: The Agri-Food Hub and Trade Centre (Exhibition Park Lethbridge), 3401 Parkside Dr S, Lethbridge, AB T1J 4R3Additional Benefits: 3 weeks vacation, excellent healthcare benefits, RRSP planJob SummaryAs a Food and Beverage Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of banquets and events, including set-up, food presentation, serving and cleanup while focusing on detail, quality, the highest level of customer service.Now, if you were to come on board as one of our Food and Beverage Operations Managers, we #39;d ask you to do the following for us:

  • Determine, establish, and implement service standards
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of the banquet team, including scheduling, training, and ensuring proper work procedures and service standards
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures that ensure all company standards are met
  • Maintain and monitor product levels and inventory
  • Audit units to ensure conformance with the Company, government and accrediting agency standards, regulations and codes regarding food storage, preparation, sanitation, and record keeping
  • Ensure adherence to company sponsored retailing and purchasing programs
  • Conduct regular HSQA audits following company policies and produce corrective action plans
  • Develop realistic and accurate unit forecasts ensuring unit #39;s financial performance meets the Company and client forecasts
  • Ensure consistent and equitable administration of human resources policies, procedures, and guidelines to facilitate effective employee relations and support the preferred employer focus; conduct performance appraisals and monitor Diversity action plans
  • Recruit for front of house positions; identify training requirements; develop and coach team members to meet succession planning needs, as well as to ensure optimum utilization of team members
  • Provide direction and support to front of house team members, to maximize client and customer satisfaction
  • Produce schedules to meet guest needs and maximize efficiency
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to build rapport and ensure colleagues are well informed

  • Post-secondary education plus at least five years of related food service management experience in a catering and retail environment
  • Advanced food safe certified and ProServe certified
  • Proven financial management skills including ability to control product and labour costs
  • Strong motivator, mentor and leader
  • Very detail-oriented individual and a strong team player
  • Superior client relationship skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Can accommodate a flexible work schedule
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office.
