Partner Staffing is currently working with our client seeking a talented Highway and Roadway Project Engineer or CET to join the team in Lethbridge, Alberta. The ideal candidate will work under the guidance of the project manager and be responsible for assisting in the management and execution of highway and roadway projects. They will support the project team in planning, design, construction, and completion phases while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.RequirementsKey Responsibilities:Assist the project manager in managing highway and roadway projects from initiation to closeout, ensuring adherence to project specifications, schedules, and budgets.Collaborate with project team members, clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.Support the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets, and assist in monitoring progress to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.Assist in preparing and reviewing engineering designs, specifications, and drawings for highway and roadway projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to procure materials and services required for project implementation.Conduct field inspections and surveys to gather data, monitor construction progress, and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.Assist in identifying and mitigating project risks and issues, and contribute to implementing effective solutions to ensure project success.Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, drawings, and correspondence, to support project management and reporting requirements.Foster a culture of safety, quality, and excellence within the project team, and adhere to all relevant regulations and standards.Qualifications:Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering; CET or P.Eng is acceptableMinimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on highway and roadway projects.Strong technical knowledge of highway and roadway design standards, specifications, and regulations.Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other engineering design software is preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with project team members, clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors.Commitment to safety, quality, and excellence in all aspects of project delivery.BenefitsPartner Staffing is Bringing Talent to Business.
