Job Description

Position InformationJob Title Student Engagement Assistant Appointment Type Full-time Continuing Position Dates Full-Time Continuing Hours per week/FTE 35 About the PositionWe #39;re looking for someone passionate about helping create meaningful student experiences. If you are eager to jump in and make things happen, you #39;re organized, self-motivated, have great communication skills, like working within a team environment, and are open to learning new things, this may be your ideal role!Reporting to the Associate Dean, Student Affairs, this position works with several Student Affairs departments: Transition and Student Engagement, Digital Engagement, Student Development, and Student Success. You will contribute to various projects, events, activities, and initiatives being implemented across the departments, and you will be the welcoming presence when students visit the area for assistance.Position DetailsWe provide extensive training for the right person, with the main responsibilities of the role being:Office support

  • Credit card reconciliations
  • Manages team Sharepoint
  • Documents departmental processes and ensures they are reviewed annually
  • Facilities / ITS requests
Project support
  • Set up survey for new students three times per year and manage the student list for the survey regularly based on new admits and withdrawals
  • Send follow up communication to students related to the new student survey
  • Support our Early Alert program by helping to track and complete cases in our tracking software
Event support
  • Organize volunteers for events throughout the year
  • Oversee triage desk (student information desk) for orientation events
  • Assist with prize draws and distribution
  • Logistic support with room booking, AV setup, space setup.
Data support
  • Run preset communication reports as needed
  • Gather semester and year end communication information for annual report
  • Support in creating report documents including setting up documents and visual design
  • Email appropriate reports to their intended audience on behalf of Student Affairs
Other responsibilities
  • Web page maintenance, work with our Web Services team for updates
  • Monitor campus electronic job board
  • Maintain schedule of Student Affairs updates in the employee newsletter
Required Qualifications
  • Two year post-secondary diploma
  • Two years related experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Educational and or employment background that includes management, administration, reporting, and/or documentation design
  • Experience using a CRM (we use Salesforce)
  • Post-secondary experience
  • Lethbridge College alumni
