The Teacher will work within the Inclusive Education Policy framework by participating in individualized program planning with school staff and families to maximize learning experiences for students.Qualifications and Experiences:Certified Journeyperson status in a designated trade as defined by the “Apprenticeship and Trades Qualifications Act”.Valid Nova Scotia Teaching License is preferred and/or a valid Vocational Teaching Certificate (VTCII) will be considered.Red SealA minimum of five (5) years of recent occupational experience in that trade.Demonstrated abilities to work with people.Experience in teaching adolescent students or equivalent experience as a trainer in business or industry.Presentation, interpersonal and team building skills.Responsibilities:Delivery of instruction to students enrolled in the Skilled Trades suite of courses;Evaluate students performance, mentor and guide students, and maintain currency within your occupational field;Must be willing to upgrade professional educational skills as necessary;Other related duties as assigned.We thank you for your interest in the posted vacancy.
